About Me
I am Jorge, a digital designer specializing in motion and graphic design. Born and raised in Mexico City, I now call New York City home. I thrive on the storytelling process behind every project and the creative journey that brings ideas to life.
After earning my bachelor's degree in architecture, I worked for various design firms, where I delved into the realm of 3D modeling. I moved to New York to pursue a graduate degree in Digital Animation and Visual Effects at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. Throughout my academic career, I merged the design principles I had practiced with the power of storytelling, mastering a broad array of digital tools. This journey culminated in my thesis project, "Genesis," a 3D animated short film that showcases my skills and passion for film and design.
Since completing my degree, I've had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with and assist creative directors and artists in developing motion graphics for numerous projects, particularly episodic content for streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Paramount+. Each experience has underscored the power of collaboration. I'm always seeking opportunities to learn and grow both as a person and as an artist. My work spans social media content, web design, graphic design, and everything in between, allowing me to gain insights from different areas and departments within the industry.
On a personal note, I'm passionate about film. When I'm not at my workstation, you can find me at the movie theater. I love reading about the industry and the behind-the-scenes processes of productions. I also try to collaborate with indie filmmakers whenever possible.
I'm always open to meeting more creatives and collaborating!
